It’s nice to meet you!
Welcome! We are the Atlanta chapter of For a Day. Since 2005, we’ve been serving pediatric cancer patients with unique, meaningful programming, aimed at bringing back what cancer took: a normal childhood.
Treatment for any chronic illness is not only painful and life-threatening, it’s lonely and stressful. While we’re just one part of addressing the psychosocial element of a child’s treatment experience, we know we make a lasting impression. It’s not uncommon to see the same patient over and over again, because treatment protocols can be long and repetitive. And it’s not uncommon for us to develop lasting friendships with the families, even well beyond surviving cancer.
We’re therapeutic for the whole family. As we provide a playful activity for the child and siblings, parents get the freedom to enjoy some alone time or to join us in the fun.

We’re especially grateful to Ronald McDonald House Charities for partnering with us to provide our programs to their guests. If you’re curious about what our impact looks like, visit our activity archive for photos and descriptions of past events.
