The For a Day Foundation is committed to creating emotionally therapeutic experiences for seriously ill children - and providing them and their families with a joyful and much needed diversion from the strain of chronic treatment. We serve communities through a national network of local chapters directed by volunteers.

Creating Unforgettable Experiences for Children in Need

Specifically, children with cancer.

Our internationally recognized play-oriented programs bring attention to the power of happiness in healing.

  • Boosts self-esteem

  • Counteracts stress & trauma

  • Instills a sense of normality

We believe that by engaging and supporting these children with our programs, we not only offer them a brief respite from the realities of their illnesses and everyday hospital routine, but also a lasting and cherished memory to make any day a little brighter.

Founded in 2000, FADF celebrates 17 years of service to over 6,000 kids through 13 local chapters throughout the US. We had a little help from People Magazine and The Oprah Winfrey Show, but we’ve mainly grown organically, via word of mouth.
