Thanks to our friends at Coalition Against Childhood Cancer, we provided Max and his dad with a very special experience!

2 superheroes, 4 queens, and 4 care packages sent to room-bound patients.

After preparing dinner, we put together bags with tiaras and wands, superhero capes and masks, coloring books, glow-in-the-dark sticks and snacks.  Once the families had arrived for dinner, we went around the dining area handing the bags out to the children (9 boys and 8 girls).

After all of the children that were able to participate were there, our surprise guests turned on the music and the dancing began!  The Funkywunks, a hip hop dance group from Orlando (known for their time on World of Dance) took the floor and showed us some moves!  They were joined by a very outgoing sibling who showed us some moves of his own! Everyone watched, dancing in their seats and singing to the music!

Today we celebrated For a Day Foundation's 18th anniversary at Florida Hospital for Children!  We turned girls into queens and boys into superheroes with the help of our special guest, Ericka Dunlap, Miss America 2004!  Together, we went room to room, visiting a total of 7 children (4 girls and 3 boys.)  

We treated 3 girls and 5 boys to a queen and knight-themed party!

Hero for a Day came to Florida Hospital for Children!

Our first hospital visit!

We were happy to have two wonderful boys attend our first event.  Noah (5) and Corey (2) came to visit with their parents.  They chose their capes and masks and then sat down to decorate a picture frame for their superhero picture.  Both boys were a joy to interact with for the hour and a half we were there.  

Many patients were not able to attend due to being in isolation.  Shalese and Melissa, from Child Life, took capes, masks and some frames to 1 girl and 3 boys that we were not able to visit.
